Faithful Friends

Hello out there again. It has been along few days since I have been here. The good news is I have the weekend off and I did a page last night and I am hoping to get another couple done after dinner! On another note I had yet another set back in the therapy world with my youngest. We have been fighting a battle of the unknown for about three years now and seem to get two steps ahead and one back. Though the road is long and appears that it will be one I walk for years to come I keep walking it. I know with time and faith that anwsers will come eventually until that spot in the road we keep digging a trench and refusing to give up! My page is of her and her two best friends Jett and Cooper our two labs. Abby was three I believe almost 4? We had just rescued Jett in the pic with her and on the bottom, Cooper is on the top. Jett's former owners had to give him up, they had quite the sense of humor their last name was Black :). We kept it as his middle name. The embellishments and the paper are mostly October Afternoon. The girl and the butterfly sentiment are a new SU! set called Lean on Me and the together sentiment is old SU! called Define Your Life. The buttons and flowers are an old pack from Michaels that I have been hoarding for awhile. Another other questions feel free to ask.

On to the fun stuff right, well I got my Sketchy Thursday post done (a little late) but hey I got to play and that alone is worth its weight in gold. It of course is posted above, until hubby makes me a light box this is the best pic I could get. Hopefully I will get to the new one for this week tonight. Have you seen the Design Teams takes on the sketches? AMAZING, I think I am still wiping the drool off of my face! You girls are amazing :) Well on to cook dinner or should I say throw something in the microwave, I have scrapping to do LOL! Bye for now, be back in a bit

Cheers

Waterfall Card

Hi again everyone. I have finished the waterfall card I was working on. It's finished size is 5x7. I added video so you can see the whole waterfall effect of the card. It has an airplane on the front to show the company he is leaving and the Texas Flag with the Longhorn symbol to show where he is going to on the inside. Everything is cut using make the cuts pixel trace and paste function. It is so simple, Andy from Make the Cut is brilliant! (IMO) and many others. The font is stymie-hairline again with cricut markers. Hope you enjoy not sure if I will get to the layout before Thursday or not as tomorrow is therapy day and Thursday we go back again for test results. Just another day in our crazy life, though I wouldnt trade it for anything!

Cheers Melissa

Sketchy Thursdays

Just a bit of a heads up on what I am trying to work on today. I am going to attempt my first ever waterfall card for my husbands friend and coworker that is moving to Texas to start grad school. Brian started out with my husband as an employee and life changed for him when he went back to school and he started working for my husband when he took over. Now Brian is moving on to Grad school and becoming a Longhorn. You can find the tutorial for the card on splitcoaststampers as always her tutorial is a well done one and makes it easy to learn. Second the sketchy thursday post this week is a really cool layout that I like. Check it out as well as some of the DT layouts for it. I especially like Tessas, Marikos, Yavonnes and Heathers. Actually there are too many I like to remember them all check them out for yourself! I will be back later after some playing and work and show you what I have come up with.

Cheers for now,
Melissa
